Lives and works between Paris and the Finistère, France
Florence Doléac graduated from ENSCI / Les Ateliers in 1994; in 1997 she co-founded the RADI DESIGNERS group ; it was an intense and fruitful collaboration. Since 2003, Florence Doléac continues her projects while teaching at the ECAL-Cantonal School of Art in Lausanne, from 2000 to 2009 and at the Art Deco School of Paris since 2006, she responds to orders and exhibits in galleries and art centers.
It is in this interstitial space in which the design dialogue with the art and where its modalities of presentation and production oscillate between a commercial and institutional device that Florence Doléac inscribes her work. The claim of this unusual position gives it a special identity. Indeed, not only does Florence Doléac bring into play a tension between production and exhibition, with responses full of humor and poetry, but she also deploys a questioning about function and its counterpart: uselessness.
