“In partnership with the association Françoise pour l’oeuvre contemporaine, the Fondation d’entreprise Francès is pleased to host a new exhibition-sale as part of its cycle of exhibitions “Life is an in-between”, devoted to international artist couples living in the Hauts-de-France region.

After an initial period dedicated to the respective works of Isabelle Cavalleri and Jörg Langhans, the Foundation is hosting a second exhibition from Friday 11 February to Saturday 30 April 2022. This second exhibition aims to reveal the assets of a territory in terms of installation and inspiration for the artists, and to express the strength of a duo through the amplification of the gesture and the resistance that it summons. Driven by the notion of transmission of gesture, it opens up to different sensibilities, between art and contemporary design, embodied by :

CAT LORAY AND CLÉMENT BORDERIE

Working in very different studios, Cat Loray and Clément Borderie have been invited to reveal their respective works as a duo, continuing our reflection on artist couples and duos in art. In each exhibition space, their artistic practices are brought into dialogue, to respond to each other, even juxtaposing and merging within works created with four hands. The cohabitation of their respective works opens a space for exchange and reflection on time, space and gesture. A large-scale collaborative work, it redesigns and reconfigures the exhibition space to offer the visitor a real experience.”
