The artist’s research for the making of Bliss led him to the conclusion that the most exciting utopias are founded on an abolition: that of government, of private ownership, of commerce, etc. In 2007, he came up with the idea of starting an open collaborative encyclopedia inventorying abolitions in a wide variety of areas.These examples are drawn from publications and reference materials on political utopias, ethnology, history and literature. The encyclopedia, on a modest scale considering the scope of the topic, provided material for the scenario of his film Attila’s Garden.
