CLÉMENT BORDERIE | Dessine-moi un mouton | Espace Saint-Pierre (Senlis)
Hors les murs 19 September 2025 - 4 October 2025Address : Espace Saint-Pierre Place Saint-Pierre 60300 Senlis
We are delighted to announce the new solo exhibition by Clément Borderie, Draw Me a Sheep, at the Espace Saint-Pierre in Senlis, running from September 19 to October 5, 2025.
Draw Me a Sheep. This famous line from Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince invites us to nurture our imagination, to look beyond appearances in order to grasp what is not immediately visible, and to better understand the world around us.
On this occasion, a selection of works by the artist, created during his residency in Senlis Time Capsules, will be presented at the Espace Saint-Pierre in Senlis.
This exhibition highlights the artistic approach of Clément Borderie (born in Senlis), who has been welcomed at the ecological park since 2019, a true experimental artistic ground.
In this open-air studio, the artist placed his canvases in nature on steel structures called “matrices,” of varying shapes and sizes. The canvases respond to the surrounding elements and record the passage of time and the seasons. Day after day, natural elements imprint themselves onto the surface, giving rise to a work of art—both a trace of the environment and a memory of a moment: time captured for eternity, like a Time Capsule.
The coexistence between nature and the works opens up a dialogue and reflection on time, space, and gesture. Clément Borderie’s fascination with all forms and surfaces that bear witness to the depth of time lies at the heart of his practice.
Thus, Clément Borderie offers a gallery of landscapes created by the landscape itself.
The exhibition will feature 30 canvases and a film by Max Borderie, documenting the conditions of production of the works in the ecological park of Senlis throughout the residency.
