Plug-in rhizome

JENNIFER CAUBET

2010-2011

Concrete, steel, wood, cables

Height 5m10; diameter of the arrow: base 6 cm, end 3 cm

The sculpture “Plug-in rhizome” is presented as a concrete needle, a lonely mas that tries to support itself and creates its own network. Made by assembling octagonal concrete columns, it defies this material and mixes a brutalist construction technique with a mannerism in its hanging system.
