The Chengdu Biennale returns with a new edition featuring artists Louidgi Beltrame and Ange Leccia, who bring their distinctive, immersive artistic practices to Chengdu.
Entitled Pulse of Life, this edition of the Chengdu Biennale examines the conditions of human existence across different periods and geographies, exploring everyday life within the complex and constantly evolving social environment of the contemporary world. It brings the tangible fabric of daily experience into dialogue with today’s data-saturated reality, constructing a multidimensional landscape of the “pulse of life.” Through this framework, the exhibition investigates the tensions inherent in the development of cities, rural communities, and, more broadly, civilization itself.
Set within the vibrant cultural context of Sichuan, the Biennale offers visitors a compelling encounter between international contemporary art and the region’s rapidly evolving local art scene.
