Where do we scatter the ashes of the old world?

Jennifer’s Caubet looks at space, both in the occupation and representation of it, and explores it through sculpture, installations and drawings using a formal approach not far from minimalism. Imagining territory as a resource, Jennifer Caubet scoured demolition sites in Toulouse, and selected that of the headquarters of Airbus. For her sculpture, she took railings, ramps and doors, all elements that guided, protected or held back bodies within the built environment.  By transforming, displacing and redeploying those materials in another context, Jennifer Caubet creates for us a mazelike sculpture that visitors can grasp or even negotiate, gliding through,  settling in and perhaps playing with perceptions until they in turn feel the journey to which the artist has given shape: from ruin to utopia, from bygone world to new emancipation.
