ARIANE MICHEL | Il Concerto dell’acqua

Hors les murs 19 April 2022 - 27 November 2022

Address : Officina dell'acqua, Campo San Fantin 1894, Venice

On the occasion of the 59th Venice Biennale, Ariane Michel proposes “Il Concerto dell’acqua”, a cine-performance conceived in the public space, in homage to the city and to what defines it: water. Initiated by the director and curator of the project Silvia Guerra, Il Concerto dell’acqua is the third part of the series 3 Easy Pieces produced in the city of the Doges by Lab’Bel, the artistic laboratory of Groupe Bel, invested in the production of performative and transversal projects crossing modernist architecture, poetry and music.

“The performance, by inviting to students, musicians and friends of Venice to replay exactly what the water “would tell” in the images, suggests, along with a faithful sound painting that could recall the approaches of the Renaissance, a kind of ceremony of “address to”, a moment of call or of exchanged word. Diving performers and spectators into the sensitive realities of water, it tends to bring them together, for a moment, in tune with the element to produce a moment of co-animation, of co-perception.” (Ariane Michel)
