As part of the 75th Cannes Film Festival, the visual artist Ange Leccia presents his film dedicated to the singer Christophe, co-directed by Dominique Gonzales Foerster, to which the Corsican Collectivity has provided financial support. A duo of filmmakers who had signed together Ile de Beauté in 1996, a cinematographic journey between Corsica and Japan.

“Christophe… définitivement” presented in the evening on the Croisette as part of the Cinema de la Plage open to all audiences, takes us into the intimacy of the singer.

March 2002, Christophe is back on stage after 28 years of absence. The camera, in love, captures, fixes words, sounds, colors, moments. Christophe… definitely is a film in suspension built like an ideal concert. It undoes chronology and transports us from the stages of the Olympia to Versailles, from backstage to Christophe’s home-studio apartment where his passions, his fetishes, his treasures accumulated over time and where his songs are born…
