The film presents the subjective exploration of Nakanoshima – a tiny rocky islet next to Gunkanjima island off the coast of Nagasaki. The subtropical vegetation covers the ruins of a landscaped park and the remains of a cemetery which were both intended for Gunkanjima inhabitant when the coal mines were still working. The island of Nakanoshima is here regarded as the negative space of Gunkanjima. The sound track is a commentary by the artist, describing his progress on the desert island.
