We are pleased to announce the participation of artists Louidgi Beltrame, Florence Doléac, Tim Eitel, Anne-Charlotte Finel and Seulgi Lee in the exhibition Choreography for a House. Tribute to Sophie Vigourous, held at Casa Conti – Ange Leccia in Oletta from May 30 to August 31, 2026.

About ten years ago, Ange Leccia’s former family home in the heart of the village of Oletta was reborn as a contemporary art center. Open volumes, pared-back walls, and light filtering through the window shutters as needed transformed the space into a venue dedicated to the presentation of video works, films, and “moving images.” A house-environment thus endowed with a new life, now resonating with multiple stories and presences. Here, everyday life meets the infinite possibilities of the image.

Echoing the rehabilitation project carried out by the architecture studio L140 (Anji Dinh Van, Mélissa Epaminondi, Sophie Vigourous), the exhibition Choreography for a House, Tribute to Sophie Vigourous brings together video, cinematic, and performative works that engage space as a sensitive material, as a matrix for new narratives and fictions. The works permeate the volumes of Casa Conti, interact with its lines, openings, margins, and thresholds, and evoke beings and objects both present and absent, as another way of “inhabiting” the house and relating to it.

The exhibition thus seeks to extend what L140 had initiated: a reflection on the relationships we weave with places through experiences and memories, and on how such places become embodied spaces — like images in perpetual motion.

Underlying the exhibition is a sensitive and deeply embodied tribute to our friend Sophie, who passed away in 2022, co-founder of L140, to whom we owe this shared ambition of making art a way of life.

Conceived by the L140 collective, Isabelle Bernini, and Mélissa Epaminondi, the exhibition brings together works by Louidgi Beltrame, Tim Eitel, Anne-Charlotte Finel, Perrine Lacroix, Seulgi Lee, Jinyong Lian, Noé SoulierCndc Angers, and Sophie Whettnall.
