ANGE LECCIA | (D’)Après Monet | Jardins de l’abbaye Saint-Georges, Saint Martin de Boscherville

Hors les murs 30 May 2026 - 30 September 2026

Address : Gardens of Saint-George Abbey in Saint-Martin-de-Boscherville, France

Considered a pioneer of video art in France, Ange Leccia, a visual artist known primarily for his contemplative, looped works, presents a contemporary homage to Claude Monet’s famous Water Lilies in his work (D’)Après Monnet. First exhibited in 2022 at the Musée d’Orsay, Leccia films the reflections on the water, the movements of the water lilies, and the surrounding vegetation, creating a visual experience akin to Impressionist painting and seeking to recreate the sensory experience Monet offered through his monumental canvases. The special edition of the Normandy Impressionist Festival in 2026 will provide an opportunity to rediscover this captivating and magnetic work within the exceptional setting of Saint-Georges Abbey.
