Gino Sarfatti

1912-1985

Gino Sarfatti began studying aeronautical engineering before abandoning his studies. In 1939, in collaboration with a group of architects, he founded his own publishing house, Arteluce, which quickly became a benchmark for the Modern Design movement in the field of lighting. Over the next 30 years, Gino Sarfatti designed and produced over 400 lamps, adapting to new materials such as Perspex and metal.
