Casa Conti – Ange Leccia presents Always the Sun, an exhibition in partnership with the OFF de la Biennale De Renava in Bonifacio. Conceived as a counterpart to his Plein Soleil project, which delves into the collections of the Centre Pompidou around the theme of the sun, its title echoes the eponymous song by the British group The Stranglers, released in 1986 – a melancholy ballad whose refrain questions the constancy of the sun in a troubled world. Using the medium of the moving image, Always the Sun offers a sensitive and critical exploration of representations of the sun, drawing on stories, myths, perceptions and experiences in which the sun becomes a veritable surface for projection.
