Jousse Gallery is delighted to announce the participation of artist Seulgi Lee in the group exhibition “Threads of Kinship.”
From March 16, 2026, the He Art Museum (HEM), in collaboration with KADIST, presents the group exhibition “Threads of Kinship,” bringing together more than 40 modern and contemporary artists whose works explore the lived history of the collective through material practices of care, autonomy, and chosen kinship, across generations and borders. Building on its first edition at KADIST Paris (October 2025 – January 2026), this second edition deepens the curatorial dialogue between HEM and KADIST. The newly added works enrich the exploration of the local heritage of the Self-Combing Sisters of Guangdong and are situated within the cultural context of Lingnan.
This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of HEM and KADIST to placing regional histories within the global discourse. The 16,000-square-meter non-profit art museum designed by Tadao Ando, the HEM houses a significant collection of modern and contemporary works rooted in the history of Chinese art and its international influence. KADIST is a non-profit contemporary art organization with a collection of over 2,500 internationally acclaimed artworks, working globally through exhibitions, residencies, and research programs. Together, these institutions leverage their collections and networks to illuminate the resonance of collective life stories between Guangdong and the rest of the world.
Exhibition from March 16 to June 30, 2026.
Address: W6M9+MH3, Yixing Rd, Shunde District, Foshan, Guangdong Province, China, 528313.
