Galerie Jousse is delighted to announce Seulgi Lee’s solo exhibition, Heumul Heumul, at the Kunsthalle Marcel Duchamp museum in Switzerland.

KMD was founded during a symposium organized in Cully by Stefan Banz and Caroline Bachmann, with the support of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This event focused on the Forestay waterfall, which Marcel Duchamp photographed in 1946 and used as the starting point for his final work, “Étant donnés: 1° La chute d’eau 2° le gaz d’éclairge” (Given: 1° The Waterfall 2° Lightning Gas). The proceedings of this symposium were published by JRP Ringier in 2010.

Since its creation in 2009 by artists Caroline Bachmann and Stefan Banz, the KMD (Kunsthalle Marcel Duchamp) has hosted the works of some fifty artists, including Cildo Meireles, Karin Sander, Ai Weiwei, Haegue Yang, Thomas Locher, Vanessa Billy, Aldo Walker, and Ecke Bonk, to name just a few.
