ANGE LECCIA | Bleu profond | Les Franciscaines Deauville

Hors les murs 28 June 2025 - 21 September 2025

Address : Les Franciscaines 145 b Avenue de la République 14800 Deauville

Ange Leccia presents his iconic work La Mer at the exhibition Bleu profond, l’océan révélé at the Franciscaines in Deauville.

The exhibition offers an immersive journey, taking visitors from familiar shores to the mysterious depths of the ocean floor. The dive begins in front of sumptuous blooms: red coral, born of Medusa’s blood, the dazzling seabeds painted by Redon and the bewitching aquatic landscapes of Hicham Berrada. Halfway between imagination and technical innovation, visitors will discover the rudimentary diving suits and submersibles seen by Jules Verne and presented at the 1867 Universal Exhibition. Finally, the exhibition plunges into the realm of the imaginary, populated by mythical creatures.
