The B\u00f6ttcherstra\u00dfe Museums will be re-launching the Summer Guest<\/em> exhibition series in July 2022 and will be once again presenting a contemporary artist on this occasion. Tim Eitel (1971), one of the most successful painters of the \u00ab\u00a0Neue Leipziger Schule\u00a0\u00bb (New Leipzig School<\/em>) \u00a0to date, will be shown at the Paula-Modersohn-Becker Museum.<\/p>\n

Eitel’s figurative works offer a contemporary response to Paula Modersohn-Becker’s modern human representations by questioning and exploring the potential of painting to create images through space, light and temporality. By the use of spatial illusions, reflections or image-within-image, Eitel plays with the viewers’ perception, allowing them to identify with the characters often depicted from behind.<\/p>\n
